This course gives you access to a sample Coding Class for beginners. The class showcases what a typical lesson by Code School Finland looks like. As a teacher, it gives you an idea of how Code School Finland materials support your instruction during class.
The Coding Class content suits beginner-level teachers who have no or little previous coding experience.

The Coding Class requires 45-60 minutes of time. The structure is:
STEP 1: DRAW AND GUESS
An unplugged exercise helps to warm-up your students' computational thinking "muscles".
STEP 2: PRACTISE
Students delve into an inquiry task to try things out themselves.
STEP 3: EXPLORE AND CREATE
Students start creating their own programs.
STEP 4: WRAP UP - WHAT DID WE LEARN?
Adopt an easy, fast and fun way for students to reflect their learning.

For whom?
Teachers and instructors wanting to do a beginner's Coding Class for 3rd graders and up.
What's needed?
- Pens and grid paper
- A tablet or a PC (2-3 students can share one)
- At least 45 minutes of time (but you can continue with the projects for much longer than that).
